Neoplan: a MAN brand
Neoplan was originally a brand of the Swabian family-owned company Gottlob Auwärter, which was taken over by MAN in 2001. Today, Neoplan is therefore also part of Volkswagen AG. The model range was revised, restructured and streamlined under MAN. Previous milestones like the Neoplan Starliner were discontinued without replacement; there are also no longer any Neoplan public service vehicles under the MAN umbrella. The buses of the original brand are no longer manufactured in Germany, but instead at the MAN factory in Turkey.
Neoplan Jetliner – Combi bus for trips and public transport
With a floor height of 1,070 millimetres, the Neoplan Jetliner was designed as a combi bus and is easy to recognise as a member of the Neoplan family. It offers coach-class comfort, up to 8 m³ of luggage space volume as well as a boarding height which is also suitable for public transport vehicles. The change from coach to public service vehicle is quick: in just a few manual stages, the removable seat platform can be taken out and changed to middle access. Instead of 6 seats, this makes way for a standing platform with space for wheel-chair users and pushchairs. In order to reach the full standing height, the luggage rack must also be taken out. The Neoplan Jetliner is available as the Jetliner with 12.29 m length and as the Jetliner C with 13.05 m length. The engine is once again the MAN D 2066 LOH Euro 6 engine with 264 kW / 360 PS or the MAN D 2066 LOH Euro 6 engine with 294 kW / 400 PS.
Neoplan Tourliner – The entry-level tour coach
Neoplan's tour coach range starts with the entry-level model, the Tourliner, which can't hide its close likeness to its brother, the MAN Lion’s Coach. The Neoplan Tourliner comes in three different lengths: 12 m, 13.26 m and 13.8 m. The engine options are the MAN D 2066 LOH Euro 6 engine with 294 kW / 400 PS and the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine 324 kW / 440 PS, or the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 353 kW / 480 PS. Whether it's travelling across the country, or just over the weekend, the Neoplan Tourliner combines public transport with short trips.
Neoplan Cityliner – not just for city tours
The Neoplan Cityliner is a high-decker coach whose roots date back to the 1970s and which has been constantly redesigned since then. Its current generation has been produced since 2006. The Neoplan Cityliner is available in three lengths: the two-axle Cityliner measures 12.24 m with the option of the MAN D 2066 LOH Euro 6 engine with 294 kW / 400 PS or the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 324 kW / 440 PS. The Neoplan Cityliner C has three axles and measures 12.99 m. This model can have a MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 324 kW / 440 PS or a MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 353 kW / 480 PS. The Cityliner L measures a proud 13.99 m and also has three axles. The longest Neoplan Cityliner also comes with the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 324 kW / 440 PS or the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 353 kW / 480 PS.
Neoplan Skyliner – the double-decker classic
To date, more than 4,000 Skyliners are travelling the roads worldwide. And thanks to the long-distance coach travel market, double-decker coaches are in increasing demand again. This is reason enough for MAN to make this classic coach fit for Euro 6 and to completely revise it. In the rear of the 14 metre long double-decker is the MAN D 2676 LOH Euro 6 engine with 371 kW / 505 PS. The Neoplan flagship offers up to 83 seats in a fully classifiable 3-star design.
